Aces & Eights Review

The reviews of online games on the portal Casinoz have already dealt with the types of video poker, in which there are several variations of a four of a kind, for example, the model called All Aces from Microgaming.

Another similar video poker from the same manufacturer is called Aces & Eights. Its paytable provides three different payout multipliers for a four of a kind. The most valuable hands among four of a kind are those that are made from eights or aces, while the highest hand is still a royal flush.

How to Play Aces & Eights

Aces & Eights is a version of online video poker with the standard rules and additional combinations. A standard 52-card deck without jokers is used to play it. The cards are shuffled before each deal.
The aim of Aces & Eights video poker is to collect a hand that is paid according to the paytable. If necessary, it is allowed to exchange any number of cards once for free.
You can play Aces & Eights video poker betting from one to five coins whose value varies in the range between twenty-five cents and ten dollars (for example, at Spin Palace Casino). You can play betting only on one hand.
If you wager five coins, the highest hand (a royal flush) is paid according to the disproportionately high multiplier, namely 4,000 coins. Compare this to the payouts for lower bets: 250 is provided for one coin, 500 is a payout for two coins, 750 is given for three coins and 1,000 is provided for four coins.
The following hands are considered to be winnings in Aces & Eights: a pair of jacks or higher, two pairs, three of a kind, straight, flush, full house, four of a kind, straight flush and royal flush. The game has three types of four of a kind, which bring the following payouts (if you stake five coins)
  • Four of a kind (aces and eights) - 400 coins
  • Four of a kind (sevens) - 250 coins
  • Four of a kind (other cards) - 100 coins
The gameplay does not differ from the bulk of traditional types of video poker. You make a bet, receive a card, discard unnecessary cards and get a payout for a hand if it has been formed.
If you find your winning not big enough, you can try to increase it in the risk game. Here you will notice one upcard and four hole cards. Your task is to find a hole card that will have a higher rank compared to the face up card. If you succeed, your payout is doubled. If you make a mistake, you lose your bet. You can refuse to continue playing only when you have already made your choice.

Aces & Eights Bonus games

The increased winning for the hand of the highest rank with a bet in the amount of five coins can be considered to be a bonus payout.

There are no progressive jackpots in Aces & Eights video poker.

Aces & Eights Interface

It is possible to download Aces & Eights video poker in different languages. The game has a convenient control panel. The coin value is selected using the buttons Plus and Minus. The bet size in coins is chosen by clicking on the appropriate column in the paytable.
In the settings you can activate auto-hold option, disable unwanted sound effects, set the game speed and make some other changes to the gameplay and its design. Aces & Eights also provides statistics of deals.

Should You Play Aces & Eights for Real Money in Canada?

Aces & Eights is a very interesting version of video poker. We can recommend that all fans of this category of gambling should try to play it. It is interesting, convenient and user-friendly.
While creating a strategy, you should take into account the elevated payouts for a four of a kind (sevens, eights and aces). It may be useful to chase it in some cases. You should always wager five coins on a hand in order to avoid missing the opportunity to get four thousand coins if you will be lucky enough to collect a royal flush.
