This expression can be heard in many real casinos in the former Soviet Union. It can not be considered an official term, but the phrase is widely known and understood by most employees of gambling establishments. 

Description

Basic Float – the starting number of game chips, which opens the table at the beginning of the shift. 

Traditionally, chips are laid out in stacks of twenty tokens each. The number of chips of a particular denomination is determined by the range of bets at this table, the popularity of the game with customers and other factors. 

As a rule, the number of all chips in the base fleets is strictly regulated. It is necessary that at the end of the shift it was possible to make calculations.
